According to EU Regulations “Micro Biological Survey – MBS” was validated referring to procedures described in “ISO 16140:2003. Microbiology of Food and Animal Feeding Stuffs – Protocol for the validation of alternative methods”.

The validation conducted by the Institute of Hygiene and Public Health “G. Sanarelli” (Rome), has demonstrated the full equivalence of the MBS method with the corresponding reference method.
